Chateau Greenwood: Halloween

Хэллоуин я любила всегда, еще будучи в России. Там многие выражают свое фи по отношению к "заморским" праздникам типа Хэллоуина, Дня Святого Валентина. А мне их идея нравится. Ведь какая разница, из какой страны пришел праздник? Главное - веселье, радость, улыбки.
В праздновании Хэллоуина этого предостаточно!

Мы ходили на праздник на одной из улиц соседнего городка. Обычно там почти нет людей (что составляет большое различие с российскими реалиями, но об этом как-нибудь потом), а тут были целые толпы народа. Как сказали мои спутники, в такие дни вспоминаешь, сколько людей, оказывается, тут живет.

И вот, что мы увидели. Детишки разных возрастов (некоторые даже ходить еще не научились толком) в разнообразных костюмах. Реже - взрослые в костюмах. На улицах возле магазинов и ресторанов были столики с конфетами и, конечно же, тыквы разных форм. Наверно, в конце дня у детишек был немалый улов сладостей!

Рестораны на этой улице были битком набиты, но мы, к счастью, получили заветный столик в мексиканском Pepper's.

Темнеет тут рано, поэтому часам к восьми вечера улица опустела, все разъехались по домам. Никакого алкоголя и пьяных плясок до рассвета)) А мы остались и замутили небольшую фотосессию)

Здание на фото - старый-старый театр, который уже не работает, но в нем почему-то горел свет. А может, там праздновали Ночь Всех Святых призраки за роскошным столом? :)

I've always loved Halloween, even when I was still in Russia. Many people there don't like the idea of celebrating foreign holidays like Halloween and Valentine's Day. But I like the idea of them. Who cares what country the holiday comes from? The main thing is to have fun, smile and enjoy the celebration.

Halloween has all of it!

We were at the celebration that took place on one of the streets of the neighboring town. Usually there are a few people there (which is a huge difference between the USA and Russia, but I'll write about it later), and on that day there were crowds of people! I was told that days like these remind you how many people live there.

And this is what we saw. Kids of different ages (some of them haven't yet learned to walk) in different costumes. You can see fewer grown ups in costumes. We saw tables with sweets on them next to the stores and restaurants, and of course, pumpkins of different shapes. I guess kids had many sweets at the end of the celebration.

Restaurants on the street were full, but we managed to get a table at Pepper's.

It gets dark early here, so the street was empty at 8 pm. No alcohol and no drunk dancing until dawn :p We stayed and did a little photo shoot.

The building in the photo is an old theater which doesn't work, but there was light in it. Maybe the ghosts were celebrating All Saints Eve? :p
